63 years and still young at heart
The PAP has just announced a major rebrand which consists of a radical logo change, aimed at appealing to millennials who will be voting for the first time come 2020.

Da Lei, a Young PAP leader who proposed the new concept, said that he has always been inspired by the teamwork and unity of members in the Power Rangers, so he took the Power Ranger's logo and morphed it (pun) into one which included the iconic PAP lightning symbol, complete with the colours of the party.
"I think it is important for us to have someone to look up to. Personally, I think Jason Lee Scott is a good mentor. Even if he is fictional, he demonstrates good leadership skills which I can learn from", he said.

The party also has a new slogan – "Go Go Singapore". In upcoming elections, we should expect "Go Go PAP" chants instead of the usual "Majulah PAP".

However, given how young the Power Rangers series is, older folks might not be able to relate to the new visual identity. Veteran PAP MP Charlie Chong supports the new logo, although he did not grow up watching the show. "Well, the core message we want to send to Singaporeans is that we act fast. The lightning represents action, so as long as it's still there, I'm ok with the change. Besides, it's actually a bonus because people can relate their childhood superheros to us", he said.

Singapore's favourite Superheros?
A TV programme is also being filmed under the name of "Lighting Rangers". Looks like the opposition parties should step up their marketing game!
I just cannot wait for a "make Singapore great again" campaign. It will surely be yuge.
Am I going to be sued?
